Default Using a mouse for movement

I want to know if there is any way to use my mouse for movement in
the game. I have a 3 button mouseman ball mouse that I use to play
Quake 2 and Quake 4. My Left mouse is set to fire the middle button
makes me move forward and my right mouse button makes me move
backward. I have look left-right-up-down movement in the mouse. I
use the keyboard to strafe left and right and to jump. I would like to
use the mouse for all movements but strafing. Can this be done ?
Thanks for any help you can provide on this subject.

... If you read the manual it states you can use the mouse for movement, I don't see why your asking when you could just load the game and try...

I myself use mouse and never use the keyboard unless I'm typing for PVM. PVP is another story.

Its preference. Some people never touch one or the other except when required.

I myself am a mouse man too. I even still use my mouse to do skills (thats like..a sin now a days, you are supposed to have these complex keys set to the skills so you can Instinctively hit the buttons and save 1/20th of a sec).

But I always ended up hitting the wrong keys in a tense situation, or tapping the keys by accident :\

Same here, I use the mouse for every thing but chating and pressing m and i and h and g and n. Besides that I'm mouse man, and cannot forget about u!

a real noob ( had the game for 3 days ) so I really don't know what I am
doing yet

I use the mouse to move in areas that aren't crowded.
I use the keyboard when I'm in battle for strafing, etc.
I use the keyboard to do all my skills, because it's more efficient IMHO then clicking them with a mouse (I also tend to play interrupt mes...so 1/4 of a second matters for me :P)
I use the mouse to right click and change my direction when using the run comman with the r button.

So, basically, I hardly use my mouse to do anything where it's important xD

If you actually press and hold down your left mouse button, your character will follow the mouse pointer as long as you keep it pressed.

Any chance that GW2 will allow players to choose how they
move in the game? The current hard coded mouse settings
in GW make it real tough for us FPS peeps, lol

I use the right mouse button to steer and a Belkin n52 Speedpad for my left hand. It has tons of buttons and can be programmed anyway you see fit.

I uh don't know what FPS games you've been playing but I've never seen one that uses the mouse effectively for actual movement, rather than looking around/aiming.

And seriously, anyone who relies heavily on the mouse in GW is probably not a good player.
